I'm currently looking at options for a on-line photo gallery and one of the criteria I'd like to have in the future would be sales potential.

My question is could your software be modified to allow for an image to be transfered to a shopping cart type environment. For example say a visitor is browsing my database and sees a picture he'd like to purchase could he then click a button (or right click to an option menu)and have that imaged transfered or linked to an on-line shopping cart system were sizing option etc. could be selected?

If this would be at all possible what criteria or special considerations should I look at for the "shopping" portion of the site to ensure the photo database and the purchasing environment can "talk" to each other efficiantly.

P.S. I'm a non programmer and will be contracting the implementation of the site out to a programmer. On that note what programming language should I insist my programmer have to even attempt to implement what I'm thinking of?

Thanks in advance for any incite

I'm just two days experimenting with this software, but is seems that the new version 1.3rc is up to that task with its EEcommerce module.
