Hi All - I know nothing about photography. My husband is the picture person in the family and I am wanting to get him some additional lenses to go with his G1 for his birthday. Recently he has been taking wildlife pictures, rabbits, squirrels, etc., and with as close as he can (can not) get to them, his pictures are still "father away" than he would like....or if he utilizes the digital zoom, the pictures are fuzzy. I have been looking at the Rayonex and Canon lenses at this web site

http://www.digitaletc.com/canon/powershot-G1.htm

If anyone would be willing to point me in the right direction, it would be a huge help!! Thank you so much, and by the way this forum is fantasic! I'm so glad I found all of you!!

Thanks Again,

Cindy

There is also the Tiffen lens (which I have, but which I am in the process of exchanging because it has vignetting in the corners) and a lens made by Olympus, the B300, which is widely regarded as being the best telephoto for these cameras but is hard to find. Some members of this forum have ordered it from Germany. Recently, for a few hours, it was also available at B&H Photo, but as of this morning it was on back-order.
