I don't find anything wrong with the photography. The flower looks like it is missing something. But what do I know! I might would like to see it a litte darker to compare.

What I think is "wrong" is the white in the background. If it was all the same darker color it would be a lot more effective. I'd also try to clean up the tiny bit of purple fringing happening on the lower right edge of the bottom petal and the upper right of the top left petal. I do love the composition!

The background is not consistent and should be darker.
