Mike Peters is a photographer who makes simple images of regular people. He shoots film and a Hasselblad 2000 / 200 Series camera. I think his work is notable and will stand the test of time. I thought forum members would find his work inspirational and interesting.
The link below is a collection of some of his work:

I love that style of picture. Is he shooting in all available light? Ive been wanting to get out and do some shooting in key west since there's always someone do something here.

Don't let not using the volume control let you miss out on some incredible art.

Man I love this guys work. Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware of Mike Peters before this post. Any inside or links to how he achieves his look? Interesting characters, interesting faces. All natural light but the faces are always well lit...with very few shadows. Does he use reflectors etc?
I love how he doesn't blur his backgrounds too much so it also become part of the story...yet never distracts. Great art. BTW...I think the music ads a perfect ambiance to his art. Can't please everyone I guess.
Some people prefer American Idol and some people prefer actual real talent.....

Agreed HeadShotz. His flickr photostream has his photos with the camera he uses and film. Repeat.....FILM. He shoots medium format. Check out his flickr gallery and look at the info about the photos and in some of the discussions about them there are clues to what he does to achieve the look he gets: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikepeters/
I think he gets great results most likely due to being a talented, well seasoned, long time, hard working Pro and expert at what he does.

That may be one of the finest "warts and all" projects I've ever seen.
The slideshow was riveting.
Thanks for sharing the link Tom.
