Our local newspaper, the "Saint Petersburg Times" publishes daily photos sent in by local photographers. My wife looked at these everyday and commented, "Your pictures are better than these. Why don't you send some in?". So I did. This morning, to her delight, my photo appeared in the paper. So I am quite delighted that my photo was published in the newspaper and I have to give my wife the credit for getting me to send it in. It's probably no big deal but makes me feal like I have crossed a threshold where someone else thinks my work is good enough to publish.

Good for you.. I know what it feels like :) I had a shot I took of a falcon published in our paper last month... It's a first for me too.

I felt that way the first time the newspaper published my images, too. From viewing your photos, I'd have to say that your wife was right! Great shots!
