Britcar at Croft Circuit - 08th May

Still trying to improve panning but I think I'm going in the right direction. I didn't say for long because it was freezing with a 20mph wind :D (forgot a hat and a jacket..) All photos were taken with a 400d and Canon 55-250 lens. I am getting tempted to buy a Canon 100-400..

decent job on such a grey, dull day.. does make it more difficult.

I have just got a 100-400 after moving up from the 55-250. Hopefully going to Snetterton tomorrow to give it a proper try, I did do Brands last weekend but it was rather soggy :)

First impressions are its going to take a bit to get used to, but I think I'm already getting sharper pics from it.

The first three look to be a little bit underexposed. The shots in general are all pretty good. For my tastes they are cropped very close (except the last two).

Stay at home John. Britcar could only manage to turn out 13 cars for the 150 minute race that is first off this afternoon.....

True, I get worried about overexposing so I'd rather underexpose instead..

The cropping wasn't something I've tried before, so I gave it a shot and linked to the unedited, uncropped photos

Thats not bad! last time I marshaled at croft about 2 weeks ago we had a "race" which finished with 2 cars :lol:, all the others retired!

I think they are cropped too tight as well....
