but i suggest backing it up a bit more than that...the essentials of having a plan couldn't be more important than just having a blog.
first you need something to blog about, and in order to make it work for you it has to be relevant to what you do.
the design is the least of your concerns, its the structure and the function of the blog that you should be worried about the most.
me, i dont have a blog. i really dont need one right now...but when i do, this is what ill be paying attention to first.
well actually i dont really want to type it all out, so i'll link to you a good place to read some articles about blogging for business.

thanx Karl, i checkd out worldpress and my first impression is exremely complicated :-/
i was seriously thinking of a blog where i can host my images as big as possible with very little writing, im not doing it so much for the bogging experience, but more of an HTML compliment to my flash site where i can post full sessions, have the freedom to write about them and then let the family, mother, father, friends comment on their sessions....

everything is a little complicated until you learn to do it
there are lots of guides, and its really not that complicated as blogspot. it gives you more flexibility.
otherwise you can pay people to set them up for you
or www.prophotoblogs.com
or
www.infinetdesign.com
or
www.flosites.com
are other blog-like designers
but anything worth doing is worth putting a bit of effort into it and finding what works for you. i suspect your marketing and advertising budget is pretty small (thats okay, most are, especially most new..) so you'll have to shop around, or perhaps find some tutorials that will help you out. lots on the site if you look around.

is pretty nice and customizes easily. Wordpress and Blogspot are actually fairly easy to figure out. The one that I couldn't cope with was Typepad.

+1 for Wordpress. If you can download it to your server...even better.
