My goal...for December 2010

....to get a Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS (Image Stabilizer) USM Autofocus Lens!!!!!

I mean I could dished the money now but with the costs of living today, kid's school, debts etc it could strain me in the long run. So what to do...? Save. I will save money, a little here and there to get the funds to get it, hopefully around December 2010...if I can get it earlier believe me I will!! The best of all, i have the wifey approval!

The Sigma 150-500mm looks good too. Apparently much better AF and great IQ...about $600 less....!!

I really didn't find this to be true, with the Sigmonster taking longer to focus, hunting lots tracking birds in flight, and having lower IQ than either of my 100-400L copies, and it was slightly on the warm side (like most sigmas) to boot.

I'd buy the dust pump again without blinking if it was a straight choice between the two. I know people from the nature/birds forum who'd do the opposite. such is life, but I know what I like, and the improved saturation, more neutral tones and 'canon quality' + lack of twist-zoom are killer features for me.
