My friend who has spent quite a lot of money and time on building a home theatre room has asked me to take some pictures of it. He has aspirations of it being featured in some future publication in a magazine catering to that sort of thing. I know this is a vague question but my area of "expertise" is wildlife and I have no knowledge or experience shooting interiors. Any suggestions as to where to start with respective settings in regards to ISO, exposure times, lighting, lens selection etc ? I want to minimalize my trial and error as much as possible since he thinks I know what I am doing ( I dont know where he got that idea )

A very wide angle lens as the wide end of the 17-40 or even better the 10-22, Tripod, and a good head.

I am guesing that you will use ISO 400-800 for the shots at around f8-11, to make sure everything is in focus.

Shoot from the perspective, that a person sitting in the theater will give, then shoot from the door way or the corners to get the entire room

Pick up a high end home audio magazine and get some good ideas.
