I am using ZoomBrowser and wish to move my photos to a greater server harddisc. Unfortunately all the camera settings, date and time are lost.
Is there a smart way to do this?
I have read about moving from one computer to another, but I cannot see how one can do it between two harddiscs in the same computer - while saving all the settings.

Hi drpk,
What do you mean "lost"? All that info is extracted by Zoombrowser from the actual photos. Zoombrowser database does not contain any photos, only thumbs and path info.

You probably have to do the following:
- know where your images are (search for *JPG and *CRW if you don't know).
- open ZB and drop the database
- move the photos
- create a new database and drag&drop the photos (folders) there. ZB takens then ages to calculate new thumbs and info.
A better way is (I assume you use Windows):
- uninstall Zoombrowser
- Download (and buy) either Breezebrowser (http://www.breezesys.com/BreezeBrowser/index.html) or (if you shoot in RAW) Yarc (http://www.roava.net/~henderbc/yarc.htm), and install the latest Canon USB drivers (http://www.usa.canon.com/support/files/psshared.html) which contain RAW extract driver.
You can use Downloader (http://www.breezesys.com/G1/Downloader/index.htm) to download photos from camera or card reader.
A great image viewer is ACDsee (http://www.acdsystems.com/English/Products/ImagingProducts/ACDSee/ACDSee/index.htm).
Bottom line is: Zoombrowser is nothing but trouble in anything but very simple and straightforward small scale use. I recommend using third party software as above.

You can open a new database,
when asked for your source or location of files, direct it to the directory containing your photos.
Once the database is set, it will read your data with all the setting in it.
