I like #2
#3 seems soft not to mention dull lighting and #4 the table is not level. I admit #4 is a tough shot.

#3 was shot through glass and by the time they came in for the meal etc. it had got quite dark outside.

They are all very snapshotty, honestly, and that is what happens when you shoot on auto. Truthfully, I believe that you shouldn't shoot weddings if you can't shoot manual (and I know some photographers choose a mode OTHER than manual, but you really need to know HOW to shoot in manual).

well done for a first wedding like no 2 as well its hard to shoot through glass on a dull day and get a crisp image keep up the good work

Thankyou for the comment these were actually shot in P yes almost auto i know. Most of the stuff i do is actually done in manual. I was asked with short notice to do the wedding as the couple had been let down. So as it was my first one i wanted to make sure that they got some pictures of there day.
Is that so wrong.
After all we all have to start somewhere.

it's just sometimes things do sound personal but then again thats the web for you. no body language to assess at time of comment.

I wans't being snarky, honestly, but I was being honest, because that's what I do. Yes, we do all start somewhere, but the first wedding I shot (for a friend, for free) I had a decent idea of what I was doing.. I shot in manual, I knew how to bounce my light. They certainly weren't what I do now, but I really dedicated myself to doing the absolute BEST I could. Even if it was for free, and even if 'everybody starts somewhere'. Yes, it's nice of you to take snapshots at your friend's wedding when they have nobody else.. but, if they are flashy snapshots, then you should admit it. Just my two cents. :) I am sure you learned a lot and if you choose to do this again, you will go into it with more preparation.

I would work on cropping & straightening those and lightening them up with PP (they are all under-exposed to me.) You could turn these into much better shots, IMO. Nice job and I'm sure your friend was thrilled. :)

The short version is that you need to more fully develop your skills around controlling lighting.
