I've been trying to practice and improve my abilities, just haven't had enough time to really work on things. These were taken this past weekend in my studio (spare bedroom). I had the 580 camera right, 430 camera left with the 580 on about 1/2 power. Did a custom WB in camera from grey card once flashes were set. All pp done in DPP.

I am looking for some feedback, good, bad, ugly, horrible shots, so any thoughts, CC, or advice always appreciated. And yes, no frame on the bed! LOL
Thanks for looking.

I think they are great shots, but I'd recommending to make sure to notice the eye boogers (and other kinds of boogers and drool etc) before taking photos. If you are using DPP, there's no way to get rid of that stuff, and even if you use PS or Gimp where you can, you may as well save yourself the hassle in post by taking a moment to get rid of it in real life (plus we all know eye crusties aren't comfortable anyhow)

Thanks for the comments. He was initially sleeping and woke up after 3 or 4 pops of the flash. So we tried to work quickly to get some shots before he went into his post nap milk craze. I'll pay more attention next time.

Does the color look good to you? Some of them aren't as sharp as I like them to be, but that's my fault for chosing the av and focus point that I did. Still learning and learn something every time I shoot. I might get it all nailed down by the time he hits first grade or so!!! LOL.
