Couples: Contrasting City & Country. Ideas? Examples?

I have a couple that has asked me to show their contrasting heritages in a shoot and was looking for ideas on how to do this. Specifically he is from Chicago and she is from small town TN. So I thought about Cubs caps and such, or putting them in city clothes and taking them out to a barn.

Do you have any ideas or links to other people's efforts to capture the same?

How about a split screen type of shot? Pose them standing beside each other, perhaps back to back. Shoot one version of it in an urban setting, another in a rural setting and then dupe the appropriate background behind each. Either have a hard line separating the nbackgrounds, or some transition device like a blur.
