Hi folks
I'm heading off to Africa for 2 weeks soon.
I'll be shooting lots of wildlife as well as scenery, landscapes sunrises and sunsets.
What of these 3 do you seasoned travelers suggest i take, tripod, monopod or gorrilapod?
Thing is that i want to take some long exposure shots so that rules out the monopod I guess. My tripod is a carbon fibre manfrotto with a manfrotto hydrastatic head but even so it all weighs about 1.8kgs and is 70cms long - good for landscapes and scenics but will it be a pain to carry?
So that leaves the gorillapod. small, lightweight but not very high.
Or should i go out and spend a wedge of cash on the new Giottos Vitruvian?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
BTW - I'm taking a 7D, 70-200 EFL, 2x converter and either my 16-35mm EFL or 24-70mm EFL
Thanks
Paul
