Congratulations you have passed the test...;) . I wouldn't give it that much of a use to the oval framing, especially on the hands. Great job though.

....thanks, the happy couple never saw these, but all i wanted to was get rid of some of the unwanted area but i suppose the overlays in the album will do that anyway?

Rings on cadavers... I think wedding photos should reflect the warmth of the moment and the couple. Selective desaturation in this case -- besides being unattractive to my eye -- puts the emphasis on the wrong part of the equation. I would be surprised if this didn't have more humanity and visual appeal in living colour.
And lose most, if not all, of the vignetting. It's too contrived and these photos and the other ones I've seen from your wedding shoot are fine as they are. If it ain't broke, don't vignette it.
I don't mean my remarks to be harsh. Sometimes experiments go awry but we don't know that until we try them. You've done well. Leave it at that.
Don
P.S. One man's opinion and not in the majority, I notice. :)

....your remarks are welcome, thats what the forum is for, good and bad points. I think maybe i was just showing off....?? The happy couple never saw these anyway, and i know from experience that a wedding albums overlays cuts down edges and ovals do the vigneting. But i have been messin yet again and this time its not gone overboard and it was popular in the early days of print filn and very expensive too, here my other sample and it is something i've always wanted to do?

Well, that's what the critique forum is for and this ain't it... but thanks for taking my remarks well. They weren't meant as barbs. We should be able to show off our experiments here.

Yes, I did read that they were for your own collection, not the couple's. Now... on to something more important... I may have had my head in a dark room all these years -- or at least been avoiding wedding photos -- because I've never seen the groom-in-a-glass photo.
This is just great! I love it. I'm a sucker for an interesting gimmick -- especially one that's done well.
If I may make one suggestion, perhaps burn that bit of leaf just to left of the groom's elbow. Because the leaf and his coat nearly match, and the shape of the leaf matches the imaginary arm, it lessens the effect of his being contained inside the glass. It looks like there's a bit of spill-over.
Again, I'm vastly amused. You've done this very well.
Cheers,
Don

I have to agree with Don absolutely
that means a lot of the pictures are fine as they are

I think your pictures are just GREAT and really show that the G6 can do a wonderful job in the hands of someone skilled in photography!

......yes the G6 was used on all my wedding pics, i did crap myself at first but after seeing the first results i was impressed myself. I have recently had a print done of the champagne pic from my local camera shop and it has turned out mint at 8'x6'.

....the more i read peoples opinions the more i have to agree, they don't work that well, the B&W one is a bit over the top but like i said before i think its just showing off on my part because i have learnt so much on how to work with PCS2.....i'll post some proper pics.....?
