More V8 Supercars- Queensland 300 (56k warning)

Been out shooting two days of racing, all taken with the Canon 350D, Sigma 145-400 (stuck on 5.6 because it needs rechipping) Was a real pain when the sun was out, limiting me to 1/800th-1/1000th but luckily cloud cover saved most of the day . Anyway these are just a few from yesterday, still got about 400 to sort/process :confused:

Love the flames on #6 & the reflection of them on the car. Plus it seems to be the cleanest of the shots.

#8 is a great shot of the Falcon going rally...

Hmmm, you should get yourself down to Bathurst in October :D

Lovin the action, that 71 looks especially cool. I am guessin your pretty close cause the dof looks a little short on the end of some of the cars.

:eek: Joe, that ones a classic with Brock in the VK.He's even looking at the camera...well before my time but something I'd be proud to have taken none the less.

I would have liked more DOF but with 5.6 as the only available aperture I couldn't :( The 1/40th, 1/80th and 1/100th shots would have been nice with more. It's all experience anyway so Im not too disappointed.

Very nice jake. I was out there sunday (thanks deal for showing me around) I had never been & was totally amazed how loud the backfire was along the back straigh when the change gears & backfire. I didnt think i needed ear plugs til that part of the track !

Love the shot of the CAT ford with the wheel up...thats what i really wanted & couldnt get.
