S2 on the Moon

Had a great full moon last night! Shot with the 1.5x tele on my S2 at F4.0 and 1/125 sec. with spot metering...

My family and I went out to the porch and turned off all the lights so we could watch the spectacular moonrise.

Little did we know that at the same time you were photographing the same moonrise!

I saw that moon too !!

Beautiful.. Excellent detail..

But it's not a full moon.. you can see the dark shadow on the upper right.. It's waning right now..

That's a great pic for the kit used, better than a lot of DSLR attempts I've seen. It shows how important a good photographer is!

That is a nice pic. A lot of times when I shoot the moon I do some edge sharpening in PS afterwards. To sharpen edges duplicate the layer, run Stylize|Emboss and then change the blend mode to Hard Light.
