First of all, DROP THE MUSIC IT BELONGS TO THE FIRST WEBPAGES OF THE 90's. (im shouting because of the music).

Second, I like the color scheme, but I dont understand why its so wiiide, wide and a lot of unused space. And I hate embedding video files, its best to right click and save as file option.
Maybe some kind of sign up form for the model for a day would work out great, instead of mail.
And yeah, drop the "email me" and add some kind of footer that includes contact info, address and phone number etc.
If I had the time I would make you a pake like I described to let you see what I mean.
Sorry if you take this the wrong way, but I think its constructive feedback, and any random omg!!11 what a nice page!!11

What music ??
There is only music on the intro page and that's not bad I think, did you watch it all the way :D.

There will be some small changes to the website, the video's will also be downloadable as links and the Email will be changed, don't worry this is the first version of the new site.

Website layout is pretty plain, but you take great photos. Lose the music, I hate music on webpages.

Why the problem with the music ?
It's only on the intro, you can skip that.

I will make some changes tonight with the bottom.

Try listening to winamp with slightly high volume, and enter your webpage, then you might get understand the problem.
And I do listen to music while surfin etc, and I dont think im the only one on this. Why do you have the music there in the first place? The music it self is a very bad midi sample, like they did way back in the 90's. Very outdated in other words.(I cannot emphasize this enough)
So drop the music, and make your frontpage more lighter, <body bg color ="#not black"> try to make it blend more with the next page.

And whats up with the calendar? Can people use for other stuff than looking at the date?
Try to add some borders to your pictures as well. Such lovely pictures should be treated better on a website;)
Much of your info on the site, is very good but it should be layed out better.

Good luck!:D;)

PS: I really suck at designing my own pages.

Good grief!

I think its a great website.
Its a eye catching, its easy to navigate and it shows off what a great photographer he is.

The music might not be to everyones taste, or particulary "cool" at the moment, but it fits the style of the site, and I don't find it the least bit annoying.

The only thing I have a problem with is the embedded videos, but thats only because I use Firefox :)

Whatever.....as soon as the hackneyed music blared out of my speakers I closed the site.

Confuscious say "One man's Barry Manilow is another man's elevator musak".

True, but music playing automatically on any business/professional website is a no-no, regardless of whether it's bad midi music or mp3.

Buy some proper classical music and it should work fine.

The music was choosen because it fits the way I think about my photography and the pictures I show there, you can alway's click on the links and skip the intro.

There is a broken link on the select English link. And why is there an American flag to denote English, two very different languages in my experience ;)

Nice work (and I like the music)

Hi,
I don't know what happens on your PC but that site is long gone.
The new site has no US flag or broken links.
The layout of the site is a brown setup with a banner on top with changing pictures.

Do you still see a black site ?
If so refresh your cache of your browser.

I like it Frank. I'm ambivalent to the music, it really doesn't bother me.

I'll be a frequent vistor.

Frank,

great new look of your website :D

After all the ruckus about the music, I even turned on the speakers on my PC to listen to it ... well, it's ok (for me).

Only thing I found not so good is that there are only a few of your great photographs online so far ... so I will continue to visit the (older) model site as well :D

Best regards,
Andy

PS: I want to see some shots with the 50/1.4 !

Hi,
I have decided to cut down on what I put online, it was a bit too much I think.
But you are right you can alway's visit www.doorhof.nl/models for the complete shoots.
Www.doorhof.nl/portfolio is just my choice of the best (previous the topshot section on models).

The mainsite www.doorhof.nl will remain as it is for the time being.

This weekend new shoots with the 50 1.4 :D.
