I was looking to purchase the Sunpak PZ40x for my G6. I know people are using it with good results, but when I went to the sunpak site (http://www.sunpak.jp/e/products/pz40x/index.html)
and looked at the compatibility chart for the G6 there are some
features that do not work with the G6.

Such as:
Shutter Speed Control
Flash Ready in Finder
Flash Compensation

I was wondering if these limitations would pose a big problem?

I guess what I really want to know is what these features do. I would like it to have the flash sense focal length & adjust for it. Do any of the features that are not suppoted for the G6 affect what I need?

Hello,

Look for as flash that twist in both directions: horizontal and vertical...

I'd worry about the trigger voltage. I'd go for a Canon Speedlite 420EX. All around great performer and only about $30-50 more than the Sunpak you mentioned.

I did purchase the Sunpak and it works just fine. It's a nice size, weight and color (black or silver) for the G6. It works in all modes, P, Tv, Av.
