My daughter found this little guy in one of our bushes around the house. Taken with the 300D/Sigma 105/ tripod. He was about 1/2 inch long.

It is a very good photo, well done. I found one yesterday, but, he did not want to pose at all. great work.

I haven't seen any praying mantis this year:confused: , they could be perfect models, as the pose beautifully and don't move so much. Great shot, btw!

You would be surprised, i was, i set up for the shot, he saw me and ran up the tree. I found a smaller one a week ago, he wanted to fight, not pose. I'll find one soon though, hopefully a friendly one.

Fantastic macro , perrrrrrrrrfection, wonderful , but please get them lumps of dirt on the pic from your senser out and it would be double perfect

Thanks Martin! Yeah, those specks are getting to me too. Time to clean the sensor!!
