You can buy digital downloads at the sizes your photographer has made available, which may include the following:

A 1Mpix image is roughly 1 megapixel in size. For example, an 816x1224 image is 998,784 pixels. Divide that by 1 million and you get .998784 (just under 1 Megapixel).

A 4Mpix image is 4 megapixels. This is approximately twice as tall and twice as wide as a 1MPix image. Example. It should allow for quality printing at most reasonable sizes. If you want to print at really large poster sizes, you would probably want a larger image.

720 pixels on the longest side ... it's the max size facebook uses. Most of the time your customer is going to upload them to FB, so I want them not to be resized.
