If I am taking action pics outside, bright sunlight the pics look too bright, any suggestions? Its a rebel camera...

I use sport setting but they seem too bright in areas..

I don't know your camera as far as settings, and I don't use the program modes. If you have an "exposure compansation" button, try going to the negative side, or shooting in AV mode if you have that, and adjust your shutter accordingly.
