AF of 1d series vs 5d

I've heard a lot about the 1d series awesome focusing but never really got a chance to try it out until last weekend

tried out my friend's 1dmk2, and the autofocus, even on the 100/2.8L and 85/1.2L it was extremely fast and accurate,

wow I can't wait to try out a 1dsmk4 when it comes out (I can never afford it though)

Thats one of the reasons for the hefty price tag for these things new - the autofocus is so damn good esp the tracking (apart from the 1Dmk3 issues)
