R.I.P Mandy!

My dad just called me to let me know that they are taking one of their dogs to the vet later today to have her put to sleep. She has been one of the best dogs! We got her as a puppy back in '93 when we moved to NC. While I have been out of my parents house for some time now I still see her 4-5 times a week when I drop off and pick up my kids from their house. Her health has been deteriorating for some time now and they just feel that she is suffering.

She is a miniature Schnauzer, smaller than the typical size. But she would put our other dogs in their place if they were misbehaving! :lol:

If you placed a Yorkshire Terrier around those eyes and nose you would see our elderly Briggs (15 yrs.), it's incredible the similarity. He's very near the end now and it'll break our hearts when he goes. So sad.

I just got back from one last visit. Got to say goodbye which was nice.

I was also thinking back to all the memories we've shared. Would you believe that this itty bitty dog used to ride my SeaDoo with me? She wasn't afraid one bit! I'd put her on the seat in front of me and we'd cruise the lake in style! :D

So sorry for your loss, been there many many times myself. We were actually counting past pets the other day, we have lost 11 dogs all to old age. One thing we agreed on, the best patch for the hole left behind by a good dog is another raw material full of potential new dog. We actually overlap with two or three dogs at a time now, helps keep the old dogs young and the young dogs in line.

Sorry to hear that mike , i had to put my dog to sleep 2 years ago, i still miss him , it was one of the worst days in my life . i wish i could have put him on my jet ski and have him ride with me like you did with yours , at least we have great memories .
