Here's an old power plant along the Mohawk River near Albany, NY. It's still in use today.
All shots were bracketed -2,0,+2.

Nice job. I like the illustrated drawing look and the detail is great.

Agreed, not over processed (at least for me), I see no noticeable halos...good job

I did try increasing color levels and saturation, but then they looked overdone...and unfortunately, it was a very overcast day, so the flat color gives a more realistic look...

Yep, that happens. When I say a little more color, I'm talking a slight increase. But, I haven't tried it on that photo, so it might not really work. Just my taste.

Very nice, well done HDR's. Did you get any shots of the falls?

I like the last one best. I agree with others that it needs a bit more color (and probably contrast as well), but that's all a matter of personal tasted.

Thank you!
For what it's worth, those were taken at -2,0,+2. Then processed with Photomatix. I used the default settings to start, then REDUCED the top set of sliders by roughly 25% so the effect wasn't overdone. Then denoise, contrast and sharpening in PS CS4.

You're welcome! I spent all my free time all winter on POTN and searching the internet and trial and error to get to this point...and I'm still have lots to learn. But it's a fun process! Best of luck.

You guys are great with this stuff. These were awesome. For me the contrast was lite.
added it on this picture. For my taste I like more contrast. The photos you've created would look awesome on the wall.

I really like these, I just wish that the Super Duty wasn't in the first photo to date the image. Very cool processing, understated and still surreal.

I do like the theme you used. I just so enjoy buildings and these are unique with the detailed brick work, tubing and grass covering the site. Just a great place to get shots. Extremely nice.

Thanks, crimsonblack.
I hadn't expected to take shots of the power plant...there's a nice sized waterfall there, that was the goal. These shots were more of an after thought - but the waterfall ones didn't come out as nice as I'd hoped.
I would like to go back and focus on the plant itself, maybe take some more shots from a different perspective than there. There are also so old mill buildings a block or two away...

funny thing when you go out. What you went for may not work, but what you find along the way may be great.
