This is not the sort of shot I normally take. So I am approaching this as more of an exercise than anything else. I was travelling down the road and the vast field caught my attention as I was driving by. I stopped and got a few shots. Nothing that I am happy with, but was hoping someone might be able to give me some insight for a second attempt.

I think if done right, this could have a neat effect.

Thanks.

it was mentioned to me that the color is a bit off in the trees. I made an adjustment from the RAW file.

I think the one with the trees is the best composition. You might try a little boost in Contrast and/or Saturation to give it a little "pop".

Try my version of #1 here: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4298510&a=31744488&p=72360541

I did an auto-levels, lightened the shadows, darkened the highlights, and sharpened some.

i like that... it really makes the focused color of the sunflower stand out instead of bleeding together. The only thing I notice is a little weird color in the tree shadows, but I bet it is this lcd monitor. I will look again when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the efforts of the post-processing. I definitely need to teak my PS skills.
