Ok this might be a little silly.
I know everyone has their own method of keeping/deleting/storing data. I also know some people, like me, hardly ever delete anything. So, how much data do you have? I just deleted about 200gigs, leaving me with a total of almost 2TB! I do video editing as well so about half of my storage is that. My next step is to delete old projects, and put important stuff on DVDs, then to archives.
How much data are you currently storing? I'm at 1.6TB :).

Just external I've got 500GB + 3x 750GB + 2TB, or ~ 4.7TB.

Counting backups? Without that, something like 1.3 TB (half straight off the cameras and half filed/indexed/processed/etc.).

Roughly the same here though I've also got another 6TB in an enclosure that I keep sync'd to the office and house which has loads of plates, RED footage and work files - I cringe every time I have to move/edit the R3D files heh.

Not Much:
2 - 5TB Acer NAS
1 - 2.5TB File Server
1 - 16TB ISCSI SAN with room for another 16TB when needed
2 - 500GB USB Drives to go with the laptop.
And each workstation has 500GB Mirrored Drives.
That's not much for my home network is it? :-)

Nope. Just play around with lots of stuff. Helps me keep up with technology for work, and I tend to hold onto stuff for years.

I have 3TB internal storage, with the same offsite. I take around 600GB of wedding images per year, but about 2/3 are culled and are eventually deleted. I produce 500GB/year of data, inlcuding the psd files, album files, etc.

I'm just now getting to the point where I can delete stuff I don't need. The 200gigs I deleted was all video preview files. As far as stills, this summer I'm going to try shooting RAW only for weddings, and JPEG only for other events...should save a little more space than RAW+JPEG atleast. Just bought another WD 1TB to do a much needed backup.

I've got 5TB total available, about 300GB are taken up by pictures (multiply that by 3 for the backups, though) and I think I have roughly 2TB free.

Just built an unRAID server that has 2TB of storage (3.5TB of discs) for starters, plus 640GB in my photo machine. Not all of the data is photos though. Some home movies of the kids, some ripped blu rays and DVDs too.

Not as much data as some heavy hitters above, but my off site backup drive is full (1TB) and it's time for me to upgrade to a larger external drive. That's music/movies and photos. Photos are only 400GB worth after being cut down to keepers, but my short term import backup folder of shot/unedited images in the last few months is already up to 180GB.
Looking at adding more storage to my desktop box, 2.3TB isn't looking like enough.

You can use Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/) (free/open source) to compress the video hugely and still keep great quality. It can also create mp4/mkv files from DVDs, which I do because it's easier than putting disks into the machine every time I want to watch something.

Internal: 1.5TB x 3, 750GB x2, 500GB x1, 250GBx1
External: 250GB x 2, Bunch of smaller drives I don't currently use.

Yup, I'm familiar with handbrake. Honestly though I don't store all my movies on it, only the ones I know I will watch again (or my kids will). This helps to keep disc space down.

I'm at ~1.5TB counting both external and internal. And starting to run out of space on all drives...
