Is this boring?

How would you crop this differently to give it some focus? It seems boring to me....like it's going nowhere. Taken w/ a dRebel XT, kit lens by a BEGINNER!! (so I'd love some help....should I have put this in the "critique" section?...oops!)

well first tip...the yellow flowers are the focus of this picture. That little bit of purple is kind of distracting. Otherwise it's a very crisp photo. Do you know what settings you used?

I agree the focus is sharp but perhaps the dof is too deep. The front flower that is in focus is your point of interest so raise the lens a little, open the shutter then crop if need to remove distracting elements. Set the camera on AV and do not use the P setting. You have more control over depth of field (dof) Just my .02 Tony
