Spent all day yesterday (Saturday 22 May 2010) at the MCAS Cherry Point NC, Air Show. One of the performing groups was the Canadian Skyhawks Parachute team. I've seen many others at past air shows, but some of the things this team did was really impressive.

You got me! I've never seen that before. They were doing things I though impossible. I believe it's the forward momentum that is keeping the canopy inflated.
It was cool to watch them in action, One would swing down upside down, hesitate for a about ten seconds then swing back up. then the next guy would do the same, and then the next. They really impressed me with their routines.

Awesome photos! Done skydiving myself and many jumps, so i'm baffled how they done it too LOL

One of the few things left of our proud Airborne.

Grew up in Petawawa and Edmonton when my dad was with the Airborne. They keep the canopies inflated using forward momentum.
