If anyone in the central Florida (or anywhere else for that matter) plans on trying to attend the shuttle launch tomorrow (Tuesday, July 26) feel free to join me. I've got a spot staked out on the waterfront at Jetty Park at the Cape. It's as close as you can be without being on the Space Center grounds and you have an unobstructed view all the way to the launchpads, so regardless of which one it goes from we'll be able to see it.
Right now NASA has the time tentatively set for 10:39AM to go. When they tried to put the shuttle up 2 weeks ago I arrived at Jetty 6 hours before the launch and it was already full and closed to further access. This time I went and parked my car there today and will have a friend take me back down in the morning. If anyone wants to join me just send me a message here and I can give you my phone number and you can come down almost at launchtime and be assured a great spot without having to camp out there overnight! Hope to see a few folks, I think it'll be a great morning. Hell, even if the shuttle doesn't go we can talk shop and look at all the lovely ladies :)
