Were you be pissed off when Intel made your 4.66 mhz powered computer that had a 13' green screen, 20 meg hard disk, and 64k ram that you paid $3000 for obsolete by bringing out a 2.4 ghz chip that you can buy in a PC with with a 17" color monintor, 180gb harddrive, and 512mb ram for $800? Were you pissed off when HP made your 300 DPI printer that you paid $3000 for obsolete by bringing out a $199 1200 dpi printer? Were you pissed off when Henry Ford made the Model T and turned your old buggy obsolete? Were you pissed off when Bell invented the phone, Edison the light bulb, Flemming penicilin, Bell Labs the micro processor?
Only you can answer that quesion. My view is that if you want to be an early adopter than you'd better get used to it.
That said, if you take a lot of pictures like me--I took 14,000 shots with my D60 before selling it last week--than it's worth every cent you paid. My D60 paid for itself in 3-4 weeks in what I saved on film, processing, scanning, and my own time. Not to mention how happy my clients are when they get finished images the same day.
