Hello everyone.

This is a photo I took of a moth a few days ago. Would anyone know the name of it?

Beautiful colour and shot.
If you are taking a lot of photos of bugs, and like me, barely know a sugar bee from a stink bug, check out this:
http://bugguide.net

You can sign up, which is free, and if you are in N.America, it gives you a great idea of what species are around. I posted my bee pic a while back and also discovered the names of 3 others.

I love the blue colour. It is a lovely shot.

Thank you very much Zero and Bruce for your comments. I did register at that bug site, Zero and got a quick response. This is a Tiger Moth "Virginia Ctenucha Moth -- Ctenucha virginica" I am told. I will surely use this site again and thank you for the information.
