Just wondering what you all prefer...glossy photos or matte photos??
Thanks

I guess it would depend on what kind of shots, but personally i like glossy pics, simply because the colours have more of a "punch". For B&W or duo tone colors i prefer a matte finish.

definitely matte for myself, with a white border.

I like Glossy. But if they are pictures everyone wants to look at and I don't have them in a album then I like Matte. Mainly because finger prints don't show as bad as they do on glossy.

I generally prefer matt but my non photographer friends seem to regard anything other than glossy as not being real photographs. Therefore, any I intend to give away get printed on glossy.

I print pretty much only with a Lustre finish. It has the vibrant colors of glossy, but hides fingerprints the way matte does.

my personal taste is matte , but glossy seems a regular medium for anything with a massive color range in it...I just dont like the shine feel to it.

depends how i present it. if its going behind a plastic picture album, or behind a piece of glass in a picture frame....the matte finish will look kinda glossy through the glass.

I like matte almost all the time. Glossy appears to have a little more detail and different color, but people are so used to glossy 6*4 prints they look cheap and normal compared with matte. If I could get lustre paper here i'd probably use that.

I agree, the lustre finish is the nicest. imo:)

Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper. It's sort of a textured glossy.

One more vote for luster. I don't like glossy or matte very much, but use matte for business cards, glossy for proofs. Because I have a pile of glossy paper to get rid of :)

glossy for more colorful, contemporary or glamorous pictures. i prefer matte though, especially with more intimate portrait shots.
