i don't think the 60D qualifies as "legendary" considering it's claim to fame is tied to the future rather than the past.

You will know the 50D is discontinued when B & H, Best Buy, and other retailers have listed it as discontinued. The CR dork is as reliable as the World Weekly News.

There will be no 6D. Look at Canon's nomenclature: 1D(s), -, 5D, 7D. Clearly the 3D is missing :D If Canon produced a new model line with an aps-h image sensor, it would be like a red headed stepchild. It would get such a poor reception. aps-h was a compromise years ago when there was only aps-c image sensors and it was a way to have better IQ with a slightly larger image sensor when large image sensors were very expensive. The 1D came out a year before Canon's first FF dSLR.
