Thanks to this board (member Pamela 107) I was able to repair my G5 LCD screen...( and saved my self aprox. $200)It had stopped working and I called Canon about it.They said that they had no knowledge of any LCD problems with the G3/G5 screens. I told them that I had run across quite a few people on the boards who had the same problem as I was having..anyway he said to ship it to them and it would be between $170-$400!After some searching again I ran across a thread on how to fix the problem..After removing the metal case on the back of the screen, there are two plugs, yellow and blue, the yellow had been completely pulled out and the blue about half way. The bundles of wires were really twisted around each other. So after untwisting them and plugging the wires back in..it worked!! I'm so happy, I didn't really have the $ to buy another camera at this time, so thanks to this board I don't have to!
