That's beautiful. What kind of filter did you use? Angled gradient?

Pretty sure I had the Singh Ray Galen Rowell 3 stop soft on the lens. Can't recall as I shot the image last October. Just figured out HDR (a bit) last week:)

Thanks man. I have two custom framed 24"x16" (or so) prints being made up now at Imagekind. A little gift for the mom and mother in law. Great website for anyone that has never used them. Just download your image and pick out the frame, mats, etc.. and they ship it to you within 5 days.

Yep, something just not sitting right on this one.
Something is still off and I can't quite put my finger on it.
I reworked the "final" version a few more times and below is the result. I tried to work on the purple/blue cast on the rocks. I also tried to make the contrast more realistic. I made an effort to show more detail in the mortar cracks of the lighthouse. At the same time, I increased the saturation in the sky. Not sure how much of that will show through with this low res file though.
Any thoughts on the original up top, versus the new version below it? Better? Worse? Any thoughts at all appreciated as usual. Just trying to get better, so be honest.

I like them both, but if had to choose it would be the reqorked on. Have been there a few times myself, and you captured it just as I remember.
