Hi
I bought my canon this May and have found 30% of my shots out of focus, soft and with some camera shake. I have tried keeping shutterspeed over 80 as well as my apeture over 5.6 ouitdoors no luck, Canon doesn't seem to help. I think I got a clunker, anyone else have this complaint? any suggestions?
Thanks
Alfonse

Alfonse,
first of all, welcome to the forum!
Some questions for us to better understand your problem:
- which lens(es) do you use?
- What mode do you use?
- What kind of post-processing do you normally do?
- Could you share an example with full EXIF information?
- And perhaps most important - what camera(s) are you comparing it to?
Otherwise, it will be very difficult to give you a meaningful answer.
Best regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your welcome.
The lenses I use the most are Zooms 28-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 though I do notice softness with my primes also
Outside I am in Program Inside with flash I am allways manual
Postprocessing by my lab for proofs
I am comparing my files with my seconds 1DS Mark 11 which is tack sharp with the same lensews and Also my fuilm cameras both manual Hasselblads as well as AF Canon 1V
I can attach a file but with all the info it is 5mgs too big I think, if I make it smaller will we lose EXIF?
Thanks for all
Alfonse

If what you say is correct it must be a clunker. I have had no problems, however I always shoot RAW and I do sharpen during pp. Feel free to check out my website for examples.

Hi Alfonse...
Welcome to POTN.
Some sample images would be useful. When you resize the image, the EXIF should still be available. However, if you are concerned about it 'disappearing', why not just make a copy of the EXIF data before you resize the image.... then paste it into your post alongside the resized pic.
Hope that helps.
