Has anybody tried a close-up lens on a 70-300 DO USM or a 75-300 USM Image Stabilized zoom lens? If so, which close-up lens? Sample pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Canon 500D is the close up lens of choice for these focal lengths. Its kind of pricey but gives very good results. It drops minimum focusing distance to 500mm from the front of the lens.
