I want to know if there is a web site with free hi-res pictures available for download. I plan to enlarge, print and frame couple of wildlife and landscape photos for my house.
Thanks.

I think the best free ones you'll find would be the ones you take yourself. I don't think you'll really find any free ones that will print out to any decent size. I could be wrong though, only because I usually am. :)

I've had a really good look and not found anything I'd want to use in web design. Getty has some Royalty Free options which are not too expensive but I haven't bought any there for the same reason. I am looking now and again at people's photo web sites and places like pBase and photosig to see if there are any to buy, but the problem is finding one spot on and of the right quality at the time I want one, given there are so many to choose from. I am tempted to do it myself but the whole set up and messing around puts me off. I may do it for my current project and just charge what I'd charge for a Royalty Free shot.

why don't you ask in the nature forum I'm sure plenty of members will offer you a print at next to nothing prices and be honored to have their work displayed.
