B-17 Ride...

I had the pleasure of taking my Dad for a ride in the Yankee Lady, a B-17G this weekend. They were at the WWII weekend in Reading, PA. It was an absolutely unbelievable experience and if anyone has the opportunity, DO IT! It's a lot of money but it is worth every penny! I cannot say enough about the plane and the crew, they definitely gave us our money's worth. We even had a little guest join us for a bit (something that RARELY happens according to the flight engineer). Enjoy the pics:

Definately a fantastic experience. I rode on Colling's "Nine-O-Nine" back in 2006. Looks like the YAF is a little more lenient on where you can be during takeoff and landing. I asked about shooting over the pilot's shoulders for either or both and was emphatically told "No F-ing Way!" :(

(OBTW, the correct term for the Mustang "escort" would be "Little Friend")

thanks for the comments all, it definitely was a great trip...As for the pics of the pilots on landing, I just happened to in the right place. As we got ready for landing the engineer had everyone sit and buckle their seatbelt. There were four seated in the waist, one in the radio station, one in the nose and me behind the pilots. As we were getting closer to the field the engineer gave me the green light to unbuckle my belt and take pictures. Again, they were just the best!
