My 12-24 is no more

ARRRGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found out the hard way that my gear is not insured. Tripod fell over w/ my 12-24 attached, and landed square on the lens, breaking it at the base. Camera is fine. Called the insurance agent, and discovered that for some reason my gear has not been insured since Feb. It’s under my parents policy so there’s nothing I can do about it. To top it off, I’m now on a really tight budget.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a bad feeling, I had something similar happen about a month ago involving a tripod, darkness and a camera that wasn't locked in place. I went out and bought a 17-40L on credit card, I felt much better until the end of the month!
