Hi, you may want to post your posting on another thread because this one is for marketplace. As for display, sometimes press the "display button" twice or hard will put the camera on view mode. I had slight problem with a similar model before and it seems to had got stuck.
The other thing that could be a cause is a bad video cable. try wiggling it and see if there is any signal.
and finally, check the connectors on the camera. see if there there is any bent pins or corrupted pins.

Did you set the TV for video?

Hi Chaps, Thanks for the info. I have done all that and still nothing. Spoken to Canon and am off to Colchester Cameras on monday who are going to check it out. However if the av output is broken then its a new main board at £85 by the sound of it. However, by the miracle that is Google I have found a Scandisk SDV2-D-E30 on Amazon for under £30 which acts as a card reader and will also connect directly to a TV (and is supplied with a remote) to allow you to display photos directly....How cools that!

As regards moving this thread to another location I'm afraid I'm too new/thick to know what to do, so if you could advise how to move this I will.

Thanks again

Dont' spend too much money on the current camera because prices will go down. As long as it can still take photos and save properly on the CF card is the most important thing. You can still use parts such as the CF reader or external player with your next camera.
