D10 ordered March 4th, for $1533.55 including shipping. I have ordered about $13K in digital video/camera equipment from B&H over the last 2-3 years. Canon XL1, GL1, ZR40 and Mac NLE etc.

Outstanding Service (1 return for cash & 1 repair)!

Good service, good prices, and Zero CA State/LA sales tax! (I saved $1,280 in taxes!)

Ahem,

You do know that under California law you are liable for sales tax for these items, you must report them yourself....

Hope thr FTB isnt following this thread...

NOT YET! But, when the regulators get their way, I will drive up to my buddy's house in Oregon for my large WWW purchases. The savings will pay for a nice vacation plus.

Many Northern California residents drive into Oregon for the big buy malls just across the border. California taxes are out of control.

You just got to love this country... and all its inequaties. And, no I don't have a Caymen Island bank account like all the big boys that own our the counrty.

B&H is the best I jsut got an email telling me that my order of 2 canon 10D cameras was shipped on the March 21, and I should get them tomorrow. I love B&H simply the best in the business.

If you buy it in Oregon and bring it into California, you still owe the sales tax.

I'm not saying it's right, it is just the law.

They can only enforce this tax (so far) on vehicles brought in from out of state and purchased in the last six months, when registered at the DMV.

I'm just saying that it may not be prudent to go crowing about this on a public forum....

just as a matter of interest how much are the sales taxes in California?

BTW going to US for 5 weeks at the end of April, and want to drive around CA for a while, any tips?

I just got my 2 New canon 10D cameras!!! B&H= Fast Fast and they did know when they would arrive. Not like RITZ CAMERA which takes orders and can not fill them and has no idea when it will ship. I love B&H top notch service. Now lets see if I will love this camera???
