Does the new EF 100mm F2.8 MACRO USM Lens fit the EOS 10D?
I've asked local dealers and they all 'think' so but nobody seems certain.
All help gratefully received - thank you.

The only lenses that won't fit the 10D are the EF-S lenses. The 100mm macro lens is an EF lens, and will work just fine.
I believe the new 60mm macros is an EF-S lens, and would not work.
You're okay.

Hi Shy-talk,
welcome to the forum :D
Your 10D will accept ALL CANON EF (also called EOS) lenses.
This is guaranteed by Canon.
With third-party lenses (Sigma, Tamron, Tokina), it is always helpful to check, because older lenses (especially Sigma) might not work. Some of these can be re-chipped (fitted with an updated chip) by Sigma at no cost to you, but this is not possible for all.
Best regards,
Andy

The newest 100 macro that I'm aware of came out a couple of years ago. The new version got internal focusing and a ring-type USM that allows for full-time manual focusing. Slightly better optics were also added if I'm not mistaken.
