Hi I'm pretty rubbish with this forum I never know which area to put my thread in but here goes.
I have a Canon 450D and would like to buy a macro lens and keep getting conflicting advice. Jessops have told me about only one lens which will cost me about £350 and have said never to use extension tubes (if thats what they are called) yet others have said you dont need to spend that sort of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any advice gratefully received

I guess again you have posted in the wrong forum this should be in the EF and EF-S Lens section .

But on that note I just ordered the Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro .

you can't go wrong with the Canon efs 60mm macro* AND a set of extension tubes (Jessops - you're lucky if you have a branch with staff that know that they are talking about).

*£369 Jessops
£359 Warehouse Express

always worth asking Kerso on ebay what his best price is, ie paying by bank transfer or cheque - you will likely save £50
