Canon 10-22 for 17-35

My buddy wants to trade me his 17-35 for my 10-22. What do you think about $ for $ value. The focal length is not an issue for me cause I hardly ever use the 10-22. all replies appreciated....don

I personally like the 10-22.
I think it allows you to be more creative.
Are you sure you had enough time with it to try out different techniques?
