EDIT:

Thanks to those who contacted me via PM. We have enough options now in a reasonable budget for both parties, that we don't need any more at the moment.

Having a budget (or lack of one) should NEVER be equated with being stupid, bridezilla, tasteless, unappreciative, cheap (as a derogatory term), or any other insult so many of you state or insinuate below. It's demeaning and insulting to your potential customers, and reflects poorly on not only yourself but the photography industry as a whole. Just because someone is using a relative, does NOT mean that relative is NOT a professional.

I didn't owe anyone the story of what I am exactly paying for my wedding which is why I removed it, but it's EXTREMELY MODEST in budget. We managed to get help and photography is now about 20% of our total budget. But I should never have had to make excuses for asking for more entry/lower level photographers rather than professionals who are asking for over $3,000. And that's the position you put me in - I could never jump in when you criticize a third party client because I don't know their situation, but I know mine.

Anyway - yes I've removed it. I don't need to share that information with the world just to prove a point, because I am quite certain it won't get through most of the thick skulls who need it most.

But keep in mind those of you who have clients of any kind - this IS a public forum and clients these days are often smart enough to know how to google.

I would do it for free so long as a flight in and out were paid for and we got to take some form of photos with bride/groom that were distinctly "Delaware".

LOL um we won't be in Delaware so that's really difficult :P It's in Pennsylvania, near the border with New Jersey (separated by the Delaware River.) Thanks though!

To expand on one thing - ceremony/reception all on one site, ceremony outdoors (weather permitting)

This is what happens when you count on free photography.
After the wedding the fire spinners will go home as will the guests. All you will have left is the images and the dress.
Not a word about budget?
Shooting a wedding is serious and tough. You might consider the generous offer for air fare.

Deal!

You know she's paying the venue. And, she's paying the caterer. I'm certain she's paying for flowers. The DJ is going to get some. As will all the bar tenders, waiters, waitresses. She probably isn't wearing a hand-me-down dress. So, why is it that the only thing that she'd run into a burning house to save, she has no budget left for?

Now that is
bw!

And the worst thing...the OP's a photographer and one would think there would be some appreciation and understanding of what goes into photographing a wedding
