well these killed a few hours and are as close as i could get today but want to have another go with a ring flash.
i used my S2IS for these .

Wow wow and wow, what great captures of an insect that is very hard to follow, but one thing i will say is, have you put it through PS, if not then run it through the highlight and shadow tool.......?

er not come across that were is it and what does it do ?

it lets you adjust the shadows and highlights, if you're using PS look in Image>adjustments.

took a quick run at it, I'll take it down again if you want. Well done with these though, I know what you mean about this not being easy :)

gyrob,these are fantastic, a lot of hard work went into these, and it paid off, very well. excellent captures.

Very cool shots!! I wonder what it would take to stop their wings? Who's up for that challenge?
