Pbase-like gallery script?

Does anyone know of a php gallery script that works and looks like pbase but you host on your own website? I love Pbase, but I can't see paying the extra $23 a year when I already pay for webhosting every month. Plus it would be nice just to host my photos on my own website.

I've tried scripts like Gallery, Coppermine gallery and 4images. But I don't like any of them. They all seem to focus too much on the information and not the photos themselves. What I like about pbase is that it's layout is clean and simple. Just thumbnails of the photos, then click on that for a large image of the photo and then click on that to go back to the thumbnails. Simple and elegant but complex enough under the hood that you can create multiple galleries and edit each photo and upload multiple photos in a single zip file.

The only one I've tried is Gallery, and I like it... don't understand what you mean about focus on information, you choose what it shows.... I think it does it's job pretty well actually.

I actually was talking with a friend I used to do design work with about working on something, pbase is ugly, other apps are weak at heart...there isnt really anything out there that is fully awesome all around...not that I have seen at least.
