Hi,

I'm thinking of writing my own PHP forum, or getting a more efficient one a this one is getting slow, and is not supported any more by the authors. I'm looking for even more simple forum, which should be just extremely fast and easy to use.

But before I start doing anything about it, please give me some feedback on this forum:

- have you had any technical problems with it?

- have you have any missing messages or boards?

- have you have any trouble posting messages?

- have you have any trouble viewing messages?

- is there any feature you'd like to have and is not available here?

- any other comments?

Thanks,

Pekka

*** lately, as you say, it's getting slower and slower. With over 800 members and many more "guests" I imagine that's inevitable. I'd love to have it faster again.

- have you have any missing messages or boards?

*** not that I can tell

- have you have any trouble posting messages?

*** no

- have you have any trouble viewing messages?

*** apart from the speed, no problems

- is there any feature you'd like to have and is not available here?

*** not that I can think of. with the "last 50 messages" you solved the problems that those of us who visit regularly voiced, and it's all in reverse chronological order, so I'm happy.

- any other comments?

*** none other than a great big thanks--for what you have done for us, and what it seems you will do in the near future. To you!!

Thanks,

Pekka

No, thanks to you, Pekka. From a regular,

Pekka,

The only problem I have had in any category is that the "last 50" sometimes does not display in Netscape. Might be my own problem, but I do know that browser differences can be problems. I have had experience with running forums on the old Webboard (companion to Website, from O'Reilly) and using others. I find the structure and simplicity of yours to be very useful, better than most I have seen. If you write a new one, or find one you like, I suggest that keeping a similar look and feel would be a good idea.
